3 DAYS FROM FEZ TO MERZOUGA DESERT

Fez will be our starting point towards Merzouga. On the way you pass through Ifrane. Small mountainous city with European style and cold climate all year round; hence its name «Switzerland of Morocco.» Then, we will visit the city of Azrou located in the middle Atlas and whose population is of Amazigh origin. Its economy is based entirely on wood and carpets that reflect the Amazigh culture.
Azrou is really known only for the cedar forests that surround it and the monkeys that live there. Since it is a very attractive place for both national and international tourists.
Later, we will pass through the Atlas Mountains, the Ziz Valley and its gorges, Errachidia, Erfoud, and Merzouga. The day will be dedicated to appreciating the peace of the desert.

Our desert adventure is in its second day. The planning includes a rich and delicious breakfast that we will have before starting the great tour of the dunes.

Get ready to get up close and personal with the culture of the nomads and the local people who live there. We will pass countless towns in the desert until we reach the town of Khamlia. Small town known for Gnawa music. There, we will make a stop to enjoy a small show of this musical style.
Then we will continue the excursion via the desert nomads in their haimas, you will discover a new meaning of life.

In the afternoon, we find the camels waiting to take us on a wonderful ride through the dunes of Merzouga, where we will spend the entire night.

In the morning we will get up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes of Merzouga before returning to the Hostel to shower. Next, we head towards Rissani, the first imperial city of Morocco. Then we passed through Erfoud, a small town known for its fossils. We will pass through the Ziz Valley, a wonderful area that offers pleasant panoramic views of palm groves and gorges. We will cross the port of Tizi-n-Talghomt, and Ifrane (called the Moroccan Switzerland) before arriving in Fez. Once there, you will be transferred to your accommodation and end of our services.
